Bid
You see the scope, the site, the permits and the pot. You price the job and name the weeks you can start.
Projects reach you costed, scoped and permitted, with a fixed pot behind them. You price the work and name the weeks you can start.
How bidding works
When a project wins the vote it is already costed, scoped and permitted. It goes out to licensed contractors as a fixed package of work with a fixed pot behind it, and you bid against that scope rather than against a sketch.
01
You submit your licence, your insurance and the trades you cover. Registration is checked once and lasts a year.
02
You see the scope, the site, the permits and the pot. You price the job and name the weeks you can start.
03
You photograph the work as you go. The photographs are what the members who funded it see.
04
Payment is released against the completed scope, and the amount goes onto the public ledger with your name on it.
Proposing a project never wins the contract to build it. If you put work on the map, you bid for it on the same terms as everyone else, and the ledger shows both.
